Another day, another media pitch. As our client roster continues to grow, so does the list of things our hardworking team has to accomplish each day. Between press releases, media pitches, blog posts and social media updates…we’re a very busy bunch.
We are looking to grow our team through the addition of a new Account Associate. Could you be the budding PR pro with a knack for writing and a thirst for knowledge that we are looking for?
You don’t want to see what’s on our to-do lists, but as our Account Associate let’s take a look at what would be on yours:
Writing
Press releases, blog posts, newsletters, ad copy, email marketing campaigns, byline articles. These are a few of the writing assignments you’d be given as an Account Associate. No matter the industry, we write all of the above assignments and more for our business-to-business (B2B) clients on a regular basis. These will be completed under the direction of the account team’s leader. Use this person as a resource. Bounce angles and ideas off her, ask him questions on anything you’re unsure about. Everything at the Bradford Group is a team effort.
Media Pitching and Follow-up
Once the press releases and media pitches are written, they’ve got to go out to the right reporters. Research the appropriate contacts for the subject matter you’re pitching and send it their way. Then, in a day or two, give them a follow-up call to ensure they received the information and to check on their level of interest.
Social Media Posts
Our world today lives and breathes social media. News can spread like wildfire on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and dozens of other social networks. This has become one of the leading ways to get a business’ message out to the right audience. As a PR partner, we develop and post content to our B2B clients’ social media accounts and manage their online presence and tone of voice.
Speaking Engagements
Our clients are a very smart group of people…if we do say so ourselves. They have a wealth of knowledge to share with the Nashville community and within their industries. We work to get their names out there by arranging speaking engagements for their leaders and team members. From local chamber events to professional organization meetings to the national stage at industry conferences, we help line up the right opportunities for them to impart their expertise.
This is a snippet of a day in the life of a Bradford Group Account Associate. Want to become our newest Groupie? Click here to apply by sending in your resume and a cover letter detailing just how awesome you are. Also, start brushing up on your AP Style. It’ll come in handy.
